About the foundry
La Bolde Vita is a typedesign practice founded by Fabian Dornhecker from Leipzig, Germany. Focusing on display fonts with strong personality or conceptual experiments that try to find new systems or break existing ones. Offering highly developed fonts for designers who want to use expressive typography to emphasize their work.
Started in 2019 as a label for typefaces and related freelance work, La Bolde Vita eventually grew to an independent type foundry. This gives huge creative freedom: Not only can we define how to present and publish our typefaces with full control, but choose which fonts get drawn and published — independent of trends or a need for defined sales.
